A Christmas Story - You'll Shoot Your Eye Out

Please visit and like my new facebook page Georgia Home Garden.

My favorite Christmas movie of all time is "A Christmas Story."  I have seen it every year since it came out in 1983.  I can quote every line and if you have seen the movie you know one of the best scenes is where Ralphie is forced to put on a bunny suit that his aunt sent as a gift.

I found a picture of the baby from Halloween and she looks about as happy as he did being dressed like a pink bunny.  I thought it was cute and had to share, but it made me realize just how fast time has went in 2012.  She is already eight months old.

Really?! A pink bunny dad?

Only a few days old here back in April.

She's adorable :-) I can't believe she's 8 months old! It seems like she was born maybe a month ago.

Haha... loved the expression on your little girl's face. I, too love "The Christmas Story" and we always watch every year, several times since it's on 24 hours. Although the Chinese restaurant scene is one of my favorites. Beautiful sunset. I hope all is well with you and your family as you settle into your new home and garden. Can't wait to see what your plans are. Merry Christmas.

Thanks Granny. She is such a sweet baby and we are so blessed by her. Her little personality is really starting to shine.

Bernadine that is my favorite scene too. "And that was the year we were introduced to Chinese turkey, and all was right with the world." I love the scene following that statement sitting in the living room watching the snow fall with silent night playing in the background.

I am going to post all my completed projects so far over the next couple of weeks. I am thinking of your son and hope you guys are doing ok.

I love that movie. I saw an ad for a replica of the infamous leg lamp and wrote a blog post about it myself here:
Christmas Story

Scott, your post is right on the money. I enjoyed reading it. I will have to confess that I have mini leg light tree ornament, a leg lamp throw blanket, and this year my daughter got me the leg lamp night light.

She gets as excited about the movie as I do now. Here is a leg lamp quote for you from the movie, "oh no its time for orphan Annie. The only thing that could turn me away from electric sex gleaming in the living room." Classic
