The second time I asked the Lord to completely close the door if it wasn't His will. Door closed. Case solved. Now if only I could learn that contentment thing.

I am glad to hear that you really liked your 1.0 house. I hope you enjoy the 2.0 house as much. It's definitely good to follow the leading of the Lord. I am trying to be very selective and methodical about my current landscape projects because I don't want to be redoing them in a few years. It is very hard for me to do because I want to implement my vision NOW. :)Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18421605987086278458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2913864041606190081.post-65817779897169090352012-09-28T09:43:50.014-04:002012-09-28T09:43:50.014-04:00Cristy - it is an above ground pool and that was a...Cristy - it is an above ground pool and that was a compromise I made. Other house we looked at that had in ground pools were automatically disregarded because I didn't want the added maintenance and expense. I figured that I could easily remove an above ground pool in the future easily. However we have really enjoyed it so far.

It is funny you said that about acreage because at first that was one of my wants was at least an acre. The more I thought about it the more I realized that while I love gardening and landscaping, I also like things low maintenance. Between the amount of upkeep and the hassle of living farther from town convinced me that living in a neighborhood best suited me. Though I had dreams of having a small farm reality snapped back with the amount of work it could be. Like you God guided me to this house that had all the things our other house didn't but that we always wanted. It isn't perfect but nothing in life is and like you I am trying to be content. I still love my old house for the record. :)Krishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18421605987086278458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2913864041606190081.post-61242591251281200872012-09-28T09:28:13.540-04:002012-09-28T09:28:13.540-04:00Wow, that is a nice amount of yard to work with. Wherever you decide to situate your garden, I would start small and expand a little each year.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01129119492962711399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2913864041606190081.post-66567020987507993342012-09-28T07:52:06.114-04:002012-09-28T07:52:06.114-04:00And you now have a pool. I have about .25 of an acre and thought it was much too small, but with your statements here, maybe it's just right--enough to be manageable, but not so much that I have no time for anything else.

My husband and I had the opportunity to buy 1.5 acres, but after prayer decided that it wasn't the Lord's will for us. Godliness with contentment is great gain. I am learning to appreciate the things I have rather than seeking for things that are not in my sphere.Cristyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11885394458317264217noreply@blogger.com
