The last three days have brought heavy afternoon showers, which is good, and lightning which is bad. Long story short, lighting struck a pine tree in my neighbors yard, literally 30 feet from where I was sitting and fried some stuff in my house. I will have to post a picture of the tree, it is pretty cool looking.
The better boy and best boy tomatoes fully ripened and ready.
Nice variety in this basket.
Eggplant, bell peppers, tomatoes, Hungarian wax peppers, and a jalapeno

ReplyDeleteIt looks like blogger is up to its old tricks. That is an amazing about of produce that you have grown so far this year.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the picture of the tree. I am so glad you were okay after it struck so close.
Sorry you guys, the pictures should be visible now.
ReplyDeleteFarm Girl - Believe it or not I was actually shocked through my computer mouse. I was on the computer checking the radar when it struck.
Wow! Lots and lots of tomatoes! Your new food strainer will come in very handy this year. Your eggplants are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about the lighting damage. That must have been very scary.
Rachel - Yep gonna put the food strainer to use again this weekend. :) The eggplants are like trees this year, the plants are so big. I knew the lightning hit close, but didn't know how close until two days later. I was cutting the grass and noticed a bunch of pine bark in my driveway. I looked to the left and my jaw dropped when I saw the tree and how close it was.
ReplyDeletenow i see them! Beautiful tomatoes and eggplants!
