Adding Music to Your Blog

Please visit and like my new facebook page Georgia Home Garden.

I came across this site www.playlist.com. and I have been very pleased with it so far.  If you want to add some background music to your blog, this is a good tool to do that.  You just sign up for an account, and then you create a playlist of your favorite songs.  You can then export HTML code to add an embedded player to your blog or website.  It comes in different colors, and you can set it to automatically shuffle your songs.  This will play a different song each time your blog is opened.  If anyone needs help adding the player to their blog, let me know.

I prefer not to have music playing when i view a blog. Everyones taste in music is different..and I'd rather read their blog notes without being distracted, so I turn it off.

Ginger - Thanks for the feedback. I thought about that when I was setting it up, but I figured people would turn it off if they didn't want it like you did.

Followed the link to your blog from gardenweb. Actually, just clicked "open in new tab" so that I could come and look after I finished reading the forum. I was unpleasantly surprised when music started blasting out of my speakers. Not that I didn't like the song, but it was intrusive.

Something to consider is that visitors to your blog may already be listening to something else as they surf the web. Instead of forcing your visitors to find your music player and turn it off, it is more user friendly to have it off and allow them to turn it on.

Thanks for the feedback Calli. I have turned the auto start feature off. Let me know if you like this better.

I do, yes. I might even turn the player on from time to time. You have a pretty good playlist. :)
