Eggplant Garden Casualty

Please visit and like my new facebook page Georgia Home Garden.

I have never eaten eggplant, not even once.  I was really looking forward to trying it this year, so I planted a couple of seedlings last month.  One of them died and I really don't know why.  It was doing fine, just starting to flower and then it just wilted.  I am down to one plant and it is blooming, so I hope it will produce.  If anyone has eggplant growing tips, I am all ears.

i haven't had much luck with eggplant. every time a fruit sets something (a squirrel?) helps itself. i'm not a huge fan of eggplant anyway, unless it's fried and smothered in cheese.=)

I hear it is pretty good fried, hopefully I will have the opportunity to try some. My plant has many flowers, but no fruit yet.

I'm sorry about your eggplant. That looks terrible. I have no idea what it could be. Maybe the other one will do well for you.

I hope so Cristy, thanks.

no tips for you unless you share the corn, corn dawg. and, yes, if you like to try Eggplant, Tandon household is around the corner. We have some, grown in our yard :)

Tandon, you have been holding out on me. I didn't know you were growing eggplant this year. You know you are going to get some corn at the next low country boil. :)
